iOS - iPad and iPhone
Note! 
There's a separate set of instructions for iPhones and iPads that have a mobile internet connects trough either 3G or 4G, and iPads and iPhones currently connected trough the AvansWlan network. For the latter refer to the instructions under "AvansWlan (Devices without 3G or 4G)". 
Support can only be offered on the latest version of iOS, provided that the device has not been "Jailbreaked".

To connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network on iOS devices you'll need to download and run the eduroam.mobileconfig file.

Devices with 3G or 4G
  1. Download the eudroam.mobileconfig file by clicking this link.
  2. Follow the installation wizard.
  3. Enter your Avans username followed by @avans.nl in the [Gebruikersnaam] box.
  4. Enter your Avans password in the [Wachtwoord] box. 
  5. If required, fill in your devices [PIN] code.
  6. When the installation completes an automatic connection will be made with the eduroam network.
  7. You can also manually connect to eduroam trough [Settings] and [Wi-Fi] if your device doesn't connect automatically.
AvansWlan (devices without 3G or 4G)
iOS 8 of below:
  1. Open [Settings], [Wi-Fi] 
  2. Klik on the [(i)] icon next to [AvansWLAN]. 
  3. Slide [Login automatically] to the Off position.
  4. Now continue with the steps under iOS9.
iOS 9:
  1. Open [Wi-Fi] and connect with [AvansWLAN].
  2. Open this webpage in [Safari].
  3. Download the eudroam.mobileconfig file by clicking this link.
  4. Follow the installation wizard.
  5. Enter your Avans username followed by @avans.nl in the [Gebruikersnaam] box.
  6. Enter your Avans password in the [Wachtwoord] box. 
  7. If required, fill in your devices [PIN] code.
  8. When the installation completes an automatic connection will be made with the eduroam network.
  9. You can also manually connect to eduroam trough [Settings] and [Wi-Fi] if your device doesn't connect automatically.
  10. Go back to [Settings] and open [Wi-Fi]. Klick on the [(i)] icon next to [AvansWLAN].
  11. Klick [Forget this network].
Changes and troubleshooting
If you're having difficulty connecting, or you've recently changed your password, then follow these instructions:
  1. Open [Settings] and select [General].
  2. Scroll all the way down.
  3. Check if the option [Profile] is available.
    It is – Open [Profile] and remove the [eduroam] profile. Continue with step 7. 
    It isn't – continue with step 4.
  4. Go back to [Instellingen] and open [Wi-Fi].
  5. Click on the [(i)] icon next to [eduroam].
  6. Click on [Forget this netwerk].
  7. Reinstall your Wi-Fi settings using the eduroam.mobileconfig file.
If you're having difficulties staying connected follow these instructions:
  1. Go to [Settings].
  2. Select [Wi-Fi],  
  3. Click on the [(i)] icon next to [eduroam].
  4. Slide [Login automatically] to the On position.
on iOS9 it's recommended to turn off Wi-Fi assistance to prevent your device from connecting trough 3G or 4G when the connection with eduroam grows weak. 
You can find this setting in [Settings] - [Mobile Network].
